By 2035, Norwegian municipalities need to ensure that households sort out 70% of their food waste and plastic waste. This goal is far from being met, and we lack systematized knowledge about the effect of different measures to improve the sorting rate.
The PLASMA project collects and analyzes experiences from Norwegian municipalities with different solutions to increase the sorting of food waste. The project will study the effect of solutions/measures within:
- System
- Communication
- Economic incentives
In addition to gathering experiences from Norwegian municipalities, economic incentives that have been tested in other countries will be mapped. The results will be made available through a report and a webinar.
