An important strength of NORSUS is our applied approach; that we are close to practical issues and private and public decisions makers that are key to transitioning into a more sustainable, environmentally and climate friendly society. High scientific quality is inherent to our applied research and our contributions to the international scientific state-of-the-art are essential. To support the further scientific development of the institute we have established a Scientific Advisory Board (SAB). The Board meets with the academic management of the Institute twice a year to discuss academic and policy developments in the fields of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), sustainability assessment and sustainability transitions in general.
