Lars is a research Scientists at NORSUS where he works with life cycle assessments (LCA) with spe-cial responsibility for coordinating the institute’s work on environmental product declarations (EPD). In addition, he also teaches LCA at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU).

Lars has a Master of Science in Industrial Ecology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and has been working at NORSUS since 2017. Lars has previously worked with LCA/EPD at the Norwegian Institute of Wood Technology and has therefore extensive practical ex-perience with LCA/EPD, in addition to other environmental properties required for building prod-ucts.

Lars has been an approved EPD verifier by EPD-Norway since 2014 and has been a member of EPD-Norway Technical Committee since 2015. I addition to developing and verifying EPD, Lars develops product category rules (PCR) for EPD and conducts research on the methods used for EPD. This is especially related to the carbon footprint of wood products and buildings. Service life aspects and quality assurance is also important for Lars.
