Kari-Anne works as a senior researcher at NORSUS and is coordinator for the research areas waste resources, energy, biogas and transport. She has a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engi-neering from NTNU, with specialisation in ecodesign. In 2018 she finalised her PhD degree at NMBU. Kari-Anne works in research projects involving the assessment of environmental impacts of prod-ucts and services, which serves as decision support for strategy development, product improve-ments, procurement or policy development, among other things. Her particular interests are life cycle assessment (LCA) methodology, circular economy, waste resources, biogas and research as input to policy development.
Additionally, Kari-Anne is the Norwegian representative in IEA task 37 Energy from biogas. She was previously a part of the Technical Committee of EPD Norway, where she participated in the work of Eco Platform to harmonise Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) in Europe. Eco Platform .
