Hanne is a senior research scientist at NORSUS (formerly Østfold Research) and works on projects in food and packaging, with the main focus on life cycle assessment of agricultural-based products.

She completed her Master of Science at the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University (now the University of Copenhagen) in 1992. Currently she is a dr.philos candidate in the LIVESTOCK project led by NMBU. The LIVESTOCK project focuses on the development of sustainable livestock produc-tion and the development of models that includes several environmental categories, for exam-ple greenhouse gases, biodiversity, land use and selected social aspects. LIVESTOCK project som ledes av NMBU. LIVESTOCK-prosjektet har fokus på utvikling av en bærekraftig husdyrproduksjon og det utvikles modeller som inkluderer bl.a. klimagasser, biodiversitet, arealbruk og utvalgte sosiale aspekter.

Hanne has worked in NORSUS since 1992, mainly with tasks in the documentation of environmental and resource efficiency of products based on LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) methodology. In recent years she has worked mostly with documentation of packaging, food waste and food products. She has also been project manager for Research Council projects and has long experience from work in both Nordic and international projects.
