Cecilia is a senior researcher at NORSUS. She manages and participates in research projects across a range of sectors.
She is a Chartered Chemical Engineer, having completed her Environmental Chemical Engineering degree at the University of Surrey in 1996. Her PhD «Environmental Product development Combining the Life Cycle Perspective with Chemical Hazard Information» was awarded by Aalborg University, Institute for Planning, Denmark in 2011.
Cecilia joined NORSUS in 1997. Her research is mainly on the use and development of life cycle assessment (LCA) in a broad range of empirical fields. She participates in the MarILCA network Scientific Committee (focussing on integrating potential environmental impacts of marine litter into LCA). Cecilia also has experience in participation in international working groups on LCI data and LCIA (life cycle impact assessment) methodology development and harmonisation organised by SETAC and the UN’s Life Cycle Initiative.
She currently co-chairs the subtask on weighting as part of the UNEP Life Cycle Initiative GLAM (Global Guidance on Environmental Life Cycle Impact Assessment Indicators) project.
